The Center for Clinical Excellence (CCE) provides leadership in quality assessment and health services research throughout BJC HealthCare. Role Purpose Responsible for managing the development and implementation of the Interventional Epidemiology Program including the Patient Safety and Infection Prevention and Control efforts through out BJC HealthCare. Provides leadership to the Infection Prevention and Epidemiology Consortium (IPEC) and Patient Safety Council to manage the development and implementation of interventions to prevent medical errors including healthcare associated infections. Responsibilities Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership. Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals. Provides clinical direction, coordination and evaluation of multidisciplinary teams. Manages the development and implementation of interventions. Provides leadership support to the Center for Clinical Excellence staff. Develops and improves surveillance programs. Facilitates on-site support and direction to the entity during epidemics, sentinel events or other investigations.
